Beautifully staging items within the home to entice buyers

We provide everything needed to professionally display items including tables, table coverings, lighting, clothing racks, risers and jewelry display.  We fully skirt our tables

in gorgeous fabric and use vintage display pieces, giving the sale a charming look.

We also use custom-made pre-printed price stickers in a lovely font.  When possible, the stickers are attached directly to the item.  If not, the sticker is attached to a scalloped colored paper price tag.  Small descriptive signs are made for large items.  Handwritten price stickers in neon colors give the sale a "garage sale" look.  Our stickers truly add value to the items and their style fits well with our display pieces.

Jewelry Sales

We have a great passion for jewelry and go above and beyond to get top dollar for

your jewelry.  Whether you have only jewelry to sell or jewelry as part of the estate, we can help!  We clean and repair jewelry to prepare it for sale and attach tamper-proof price tags.  The extra money you receive from presenting cleaned and repaired

jewelry for sale oftentimes pays for our services.

Sterling silver and gold jewelry is weighed and the gram weight in addition to the decorative value are taken into consideration when priced.  The jewelry is displayed in beautiful wood cases and monitored at the cashier.  Only one piece at a time is presented to the customers for viewing.

Costume jewelry is priced depending upon the designer, condition and decorative value.  It is displayed in vintage mirrored vanity trays and hung on vintage candelabras to make a spectacular presentation.

Each home is individually evaluated and a customized plan developed based on the client's needs and time schedule.  This can vary from drop-off of items for sale at our retail location to pick-up of larger quantities of items to full estate sales.  The commission rates are tailored based upon the size of the estate and services needed.  There are never any up-front fees or charges.

Estate Sale - Lake Bluff, IL

After my mother passed away, Brigid McAlpin conducted the estate sale at her house in Lake Bluff, Illinois.  Prior to the sale, Brigid met me at the house.  I pointed out items that I knew had a specific value and she advised me on pricing.  She clearly marked everything in the house that was to be sold and went to the extra trouble to arrange the merchandise to its best advantage.

The marketing for the sale was cost effective, ads were placed in local newspapers that directed people to a website that she had done that contained pictures of the displayed items for sale.  Pictures speak a thousand words and that saved on the cost of the ads.

The sale was clearly marked with signs directing people to the house.  She was prepared for crowd control with numbers to let only a certain amount of people in at a time.  The entrance to the sale was marked and people exited at the cash station.

When the sale was done I received a report of the sale, each item that had been sold was on the report.

I was very happy with her service and would recommend her to anyone who needs to conduct a sale.

Moving Sale - Gurnee, IL

Brigid McAlpin and Brie's Estate Sales held an estate sale for me at my home in Gurnee in preparation for placing it on the market.  I could not have asked for a smoother experience from beginning to end.  Brigid came to my home to evaluate the contents and gave me honest advice about their value.  She advertised the sale using multiple outlets, both online and print.  All of the items were priced and displayed in a neat and organized manner.  I appreciated the fact that she held the sale for 4 days in order to maximize the amount I received.  Most of the items were sold, but she even took the remaining items of value with her to sell in her store on consignment.  After the sale was over, she left the house in a neat and tidy condition.  She also arranged for a non-profit organization to remove the remaining items.  Payment was made promptly along with a detailed report of exactly what sold.  This let me feel confident that everything was handled in an honest manner.
